Abstract | This project covers the study of human resources management system of Innoviet, a small business travel services company in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, for increasing employee commitment via better performance management and staff motivation. Through interviewing of the company’s current management, current and former employees, questions regarding motivation at works, performance management and training and development activities are addressed to have their input on current situation. We also study the past researches on the same topics to find a possible solution for human resources management applicable for Innoviet. The largest issues identified are ineffective internal communication, lacking of systematic performance management, and training and development activities are also mentioned. Non-competitive remuneration is also discussed by employee. In order to solve the problems, recommended solutions include increase efficiency of internal communication, applying four-step performance management model of Mabey and Salaman, learning and training system of Torrington et al. and consideration on current remuneration scheme for high performers, tour guide and sales staffs are proposed for implementation. |
