Abstract | Purpose – This project provides an overall assessment of the state of dissatisfaction and loss of motivation of the employees in Cao Ngan Thermal Power Company, assessment is based on survey data. The founding provides the management solution to enhance motivation for employees, keep employees well, and making great contributions to the company. Design / Methodology / Approach – Data collection for this project based on quantitative methods and survey questions about the loss of motivation, dissatisfaction among employees, assessment and analysis that data to find out the cause of the that problems. Findings – CNPC is a power plant of the other plants of Vinacomin Power Corporation, belong to VINACOMIN Group. With the slogan “unanimity- discipline” in CNPC and also in Vinacomin, that was built up a good image to unite in order to fulfill the production plan of the company. The expression of the loss of motivation in employees is shown through attitude, enthusiasm to work, quit the job. Employees work attitude are not good with not much dedication in work. The main reason is poor relationships between staff and managers about the remuneration policy, living conditions, low morale are believed to be the main reason of the problem. Practical implications – Reports indicate the effects of management practices lead to dissatisfaction and commitment of staffs. Management method as well as corporate culture has a major influence on the relationship between staffs and managers, these influence attitudes, morale of workers; however, it is possible to improve the management system by improving relationship between staff and manager, listens to other’s opinions. The conflicts in the organization can be controlled. |
