Abstract | In this research is mainly focused on Twist and Tilt (TNT) of Hard Disk Drive (HDD) after passing top cover installation. The TNT measurement especially the Media- Arm delta height is the critical parameter and has high impact to the yield performance of servo testing. This study propose to estimate and optimize factors of Auto Top Cover (ATC) machine and materials to achieve TNT target. There are 5 parameters such as Precompression, Floating pin, Motor to Base Assembly (MBA) D to A, MBA flange height, MBA flange parallel. Design of Experiment (DOE) by full factorial design with replication to achieve target Media-Arm delta height -1.210 mm. The best setting parameters to achieve target of TNT at ATC pre-compression at 4 kg, enable ATC floating pin, MBA datum D to A at 18.71 mm, Flange height at 1.78 mm and flange parallel at 0.006 mm. The result from this experiment are useful and good result to improve Twist and tilt of hard disk drive assembly process. |
