AbstractAs education is one of the drivers of development in Myanmar and teachers are the pillars of it, this study explored the factors affecting job satisfaction among teachers of Community Learning Centers (CLCs) within Kayin State. It paid attention on the literatures about job satisfaction factors of teachers (public and non-profit organizations) and workforce from other sectors. This study has been done in the framework of Herzberg’s two factors of motivation theory. Analysis is based on a survey, responded by Hundred Basic Educational teachers who are currently working CLCs within Kayin State. Due to the result, “training opportunity” is predicted as the significant motivating factors contributed Job satisfaction of teachers. In addition, “the way organization policies are put into practice” and “good relationship with supervisor” are the significantly contributed to job satisfaction among Hygiene factors. The conclusion is drawn as this study is consistent with Herzberg’s two factors of Motivation theory.
