Abstract | The main objective of this research is to nd out the precise solution of indoor location by using Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) using the TDOA (Time Dierence of Arrival) technique. During the last ve years or so, there was a wide range of development of outdoor positioning services such as Global Positioning System (GPS) and Google mapping and Google Street view has been introduced to every smart phone as well as for tablets. While Outdoor positioning has been improving signicantly and also warmly welcomed by the public, indoor positioning has been mostly limited due to various reasons. Main reasons are high expenses and setting up proper methods and environments. GPS does not work on indoor environments and also there is little to no coverage of GPS on indoor areas. So this research study focuses on precise solution of indoor localization using OFDM techniques. Here, we have measured the OFDM channel estimation using LSE algorithm. Also applying Maximum Likelihood (ML) symbol-time and carrier-frequency oset estimator in OFDM systems. By using ML, timing oset and frequency oset are measured by which performance metrics are also measured. By applying, it is shown that the frequency estimator can be applied in the tracking method and time estimator can be applied in acquisition method. |
