AbstractImexpharm is rapidly growing recent years in Vietnam. Like many state owned companies Imexpharm has strong centralism which leads to lose competitiveness due to bureaucracy ,high cost, low added value, low motivate HR policies and leadership problems. By analyzing internal and external factors, the research identified the company’s problems related to inappropriate design of structure , insufficient motivation HR policies. The restructure the company is considered very important process to improve the competitiveness of the company because it gives a chance to revise critical success factors in the new economic scenario. Besides the reasons caused by fierce competition and strict controls in pharmaceutical business, there are some reasons caused by inappropriate HRM policies. The research supposes solutions and implementation plan to restructure and improve HR practices. The implementation of this HRM practices brings more competitiveness, sustainable development in Imexpharm.
