Reducing the electrical accident in Northern power corporation

AbstractThis project aims to identify the causes of electrical accident and the activities of manager in charge of electrical safety. The project report uses quantitative/qualitative approach with questionnaires and interview to EVNNPC employees and some managers to understand and analysis about the causes of electrical accident and the activities of managers in charge of electrical safety. The number of electrical accident in EVNNPC has been rising every year (from 2008 to 2012), it has badly influenced to the economic efficiency and the image of EVNNPC recently. It is significant to find that there are many causes leading to the phenomenon of rising electrical accident in EVNNPC. Firstly, it is the safety equipment too old, not standard to be utilized. Second, it is the association of people working in multiple groups not good, especially in the difficult work condition. Third, that is the gap of safety knowledge and the week management of electrical safety. Finally, that is the role of technical measures in term of prevention not good enough. The paper emphasizes on the main causes of electrical accident and the activities of managers in term of electrical safety. It indicates that through finding the causes and implementing the relevant solutions, the number of electrical accident in EVNNPC will be reduced effectively.
