Abstract"Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is a liquefied hydrocarbon used mainly as a heating source in households and industrial plants" (Zeissig, 2011). This project is based on an actual case study of Petro Vietnam Gas Corporation "PV Gas", a leader in LPG distributor in Vietnam. In 2009, PV Gas was planning to build a LPG storage under refrigeration advanced technology in Ba Ria-Vung Tau. Once completed, this project will be the first and largest cold LPG storage in Vietnam, allowing PV Gas to have a storage solution for huge volume. It also will increase the LPG supply in long term as well as stabilize domestic supply source and ensure to national energy security. This research analyzed the current situation of Vietnam LPG market in 2009 as well as to identify the pros and cons of PV Gas' LPG trading business at that time. The research evaluated the refrigerated LPG storage project and assessed the impact of this project on the macro-environment as well as the current business model of PV Gas. Finally, some important recommendation will be provided to reduce the potential risks from the project and increase the business efficiency.
