Abstract | In 2012, Vietnam cement industry faces many difficulties and challenges. Cement supply greater than demand. It is surplus of about 15 million tons of cement. So, there is hard competition among firms in almost sides such as goods, price, services, and business strategies and so on. The cement companies are increasingly difficult in the consumption of products and maintenance of market share. Vicem Tamdiep Cement Company is not an exceptional case. For the recent years, Tamdiep cement consumption is always lower than the company's cement capacity. The cement market is quite narrow while Tamdiep cement has high price and no specific distinction so it is very difficult to compete with others competitors. Vicem Tamdiep’s current products still follow old way and have not answered these questions: what does market need?, what we have done and where is chance to improve company’s production and consumption? Market is never limited, the issue is to discover suitable path even small for firm to go. By dint of investigation this unreasonable thing, the author has researched and analyzed cement market with an aim to help Vicem Tamdiep company decide to launch a new product which is MC25 cement and give reasonable marketing strategies when this new product enters the market. |
