AbstractHa Tien 1 Cement Joint Stock Company (HT1) is the State owned enterprise and governed by the Ministry of Construction. It has yearly production and sales around 2.0 million tons of cement and become the leading cement companies in Vietnam. With above production capacity, HT1 consumed more time, money and manpower to do purchase to serve for company’s operation through the purchasing process. In which, Purchasing Department (PD) plays the important role to meet purchase requirements of all departments of the company in obtaining goods, equipments and services of a high quality, at the appropriate cost and in time needed. However, the current purchasing process is prolonged and cumbersome due to participating of many relevant departments. The research has gone through the analysis of existing problem of purchasing process at HT1 with the focus on reducing the duration of implementation of each step of purchasing process, particularly at such step: selecting form of purchase, seeking the supplier, drafting and finalizing contract…. In order to achieve these objectives, the solutions and recommendations are presented by the methods or techniques of implementation more efficient, effective and feasible.
