Abstract | Telecommunication field has undergone many changes over the past many years and with the upcoming 5G technology there has been a lot of research studies being conducted to support and contribute to the new technology. The future of the mobile communication is expected to have higher capacity and will be efficient than the existing one. 5G will revolutionize the mobile communication in a complete different way. This will be a result of the fundamental change in the design of hardware and networks. In this research study, we look into the design of an antenna operating in 5G frequency band. The effective application of the 5G systems would consider the design of low profile and compact antennas. There has been many research studies suggesting different kind of antennas for 5G applications. Here, we will formulate and design a compact low profile MIMO 4-element planar inverted F-antenna array operating at 28 Ghz, upon which no studies have been done so far, and the performance of the antenna will be analyzed with the existing similar antennas. |
