| Abstract | The taxation reform related to economic integration and globalization in realization. This creates opportunities for Vietnam to focus on developing its economy and making full use of the world’s scientific achievements, advanced technologies, especially information technology, bio-techno, new material technology and supporting the evolution of industries. Tax reform is also challenging with pressures from increasing competition with foreign commodities and services. With the integration, foreign direct investment (FDI) and other types of indirect investment into Vietnam will be more and more diversified.
The research focuses on the status of the GDT, analyzes the structural organization of the GDT well as impacts of worldwide economic development and finds solutions for improving the structure of the GDT. Based on the research, the GDT has to determine the model of new structure with suitable functions, tasks for the period of tax reform from 2001 to 2010 as approved by the Government. |
