| Abstract | As an increasing of computer and technology, the data are become to digital and need storage to store these data. The one of storage is Hard Disk Drive (HDD) that widely used in the world. This make HDD market has high growing rate that lead to high competition in this industry. The critical criteria in this competition are price and on-time delivery.
HDD planning process starts with receiving all requirements from customers by quarter and create work weekly plan. Manufacturing team responsibility is to control drive loading in many HDD processes to achieve the weekly plan. There is no tool or system to help the manufacturing team to monitor the current status and report any abnormal situation lead to miss the weekly plan. So, the web based reporting, monitoring and triggering system is proposed.
Proposed web based system collects currently parameters such as Work-in-process (WIP), output, Moving-Average (MA) yield and weekly plan from HDD databases, and calculates the minimum input required in three focused processes. Three SPC charts are designed and tested with Monte Carlo simulation method to compare the Average Run-Length (ARL) performance with ARL0 = 168. The better ARL performance from these Statistical process control (SPC) charts is used to monitor and trigger drive loading quantity in proposed system. |
