Abstract | 2007 was a very exciting year for the Vietnam Labor market. Employees have many opportunities to test new horizons and many companies are reacting in stead of proactively retaining their staff. They do not pay attention enough to retention until it's too late. Now it is the time for companies to ensure that the top performers feel valued and fully engaged with their jobs. It is the case of Ford Vietnam Limited also. Staff turnover has become critical issue when this rate is increasing significantly year on year. There are high market demands for new staff additions coupled with the market shortage of qualified candidates. Retaining staff depends on the Company's ability to understand what are the root causes of the staff resignations, or more positively, what motivate them to stay. This research identified the causes for staff turnover in Ford Vietnam Limited. More importantly, the research recommended retention programs and policies that are practical and feasible for the Company to retain its personnel. |
