Retention strategies: case research at VIB in times of change

AbstractVIB is now undertaking a process of restructuring of the whole bank. This change makes VIB coping with not only a serious turnover rate of employees, but also downsizing of its business market and its position. In an attempt to gain back its market share and its position, the bank is suggested to pay more attention on strategy of retaining the right people. This research focuses on current situation of VIB in the time being and identifies the causes for staff turnover and retention policies that are being applied by VIB during the times of change. Finally, a number of opinions are recommended to VIB board of directors and board of management to further develop its strategy of employee retention.
