AbstractThis study aims to investigate the degree to which individual resilience, organizational commitment and coping strategy affect organizational citizenship behavior. Employees from an organization operating shopping malls in the Philippines were surveyed using questionnaires yielding a total sample of 129 male and 165 female employees. Hypotheses were formulated to predict the influence of individual resilience, organizational commitment, and coping strategy on organizational citizenship behavior and were tested using descriptive statistical analysis correlation analysis, and multiple regression. The findings of this study found that resilience, organizational commitment, and coping strategies as well as employment status and number of children statistically and significantly influenced organizational citizenship behavior for the total sample. The implications of this study will help policy makers and managers of Philippines to understand how psychological capacity and organizational citizenship behavior influence employees’ behaviour in the organization. This study is one of the very few in Resilience, Orgnaizational Commitment and Coping strategy literature to investigate the influence on Organizational Citizenship Behavior and the first one of its kind in the Philippine context.
