| Abstract | The method of soil improvement by vacuum consolidation method (VCM) has been applied for many years in the world. However, this technique is applied first for a ground improvement embankment process through soft clay in the southern of Vietnam in the Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway project. In this research study, the field in this project has been selected to research and analyze. The soil parameters were back – calculated based on field monitoring data and compared with those obtained from soil investigation. The analytical results are compared with the available field data. From this method, it has been proposed to select the parameter for other projects with similar geological conditions in the area. |
