There has had an increase in job quitting from 2010 to 2013 which is an alarming phenomenon and risk to coal mining industry. The research is conducted based on the actual current status of VINACOMIN’s underground miners. The objective and subjective reasons are found out why a large number of miners quit their jobs recently. Three main reasons are hazardous working environment, low salary and unstable family life. On the analysis, the research proposes feasible solutions to handle the issue. How to attract vocational students is the first high priority solution, the next one is the solution to attract and retain miners who are working in mines and some other alternative solutions. |
