AbstractIn Vietnam, there are several shopping chanels which have provided many opportunities for customers buying their demands. They are traditional market, supermarket and Convenience stores (C-stores). Among these shopping channels, C-store has became the popular shopping place for recent years. An Binh Residential Area has designed and built by Sonadezi Corporation. The total of inhabitants is 3.500 people including 719 foreigners living in 939 households. There are also several offices located in An Binh Residential Area. People living in An Binh Residential Area have some problems for shopping their daily demands. They have problem for the operation hour of the traditional market which is opens earlier in the morning and closes also earlier in afternoon. Almost inhabitants in An Binh Residential Area have been working in offices and in factories, so they could not go to traditional market to buy stuffs for their family. They have to go to the super markets where they have to spend 20 minutes to access this shoping place. The quality of the goods in traditional market also has been the problem for people living in An Binh Residential Area. There is not any guarantee for quality of products selling in the traditional markets. The price of the products has been also the other problem for people when they go shopping in traditional market. It has been usually more expensive then it reall price. In this situation, C-stores could be the good choice for people living in An Binh Residential Area. It leads to an idea to set up the store inside the resident to supply the basic demands for people living inside it. This research is aim to find the opportunity to set up the Convenience stores by analysising some factors related to the operation of Convenience stores. This research also build up the plan to set up the Convenience stores including the finance analysis and marketing strategy.
