AbstractNot long time ago a trading company can succeed by focusing on producing and selling goods and services within national borders. Today, a lot of things were changed, global integration of markets and corporations has changed the way people do business. Employment, knowledge, money is able to move, exchange easily across borders with less friction than few years ago. For example, the mortgage landing problem in US led to global financial recession in 2008 that impact most of the countries in the world. Similarly, until the latter part of the 20th century, a company could be successful without being sensitive to the environment. Companies freely polluted the air, dumped their waste products to lakes or rivers and using workforces in bad living conditions. But now many governments passed laws restricting the freedom of pollute the environment and misconduct of using workforces. So “how does a company become successful and stay successful? Certainly not by playing it safe and following traditional ways of doing business” (Wheelen and Hunger, 2010). Taking the strategic decision is what big companies like GE, Apple, Toyota, and Samsung are doing to gain sustainable growth. Strategic management becomes more and more familiar with most of the business managers and this work is aimed to provide an example of the process-based strategic formulation for one of the Vietnamese mobile operator – Beeline VN.
