| Abstract | The strategy, planning, program on energy and power development have requirements and orientations for organizations working in energy and electric power field, including the Institute of Energy. IE has passed many developing periods, from the time belonging to Ministry of Energy to the period of under EVN and now, belonging to MOIT.
The sustainable and rapid development of EVN, other companies in the power field and the Vietnam power sector requires the stronger and continuous development of IE. It becomes more urgent due to the challenges of energy/power development in the future. Particularly, power development should have the interactive relationship with natural resources preserve, sustainable development, energy efficiency, clean technology application, etc...
The above analyses show that the deployment and implement a program to consolidate, develop and improve the capacity of IE is needed in order to meet the requirements of Vietnam energy and electricity development in general and improve the competitiveness ability of IE in particular. |
