AbstractThis research paper studies the effect of questioning practice on the results achieved in the workplace. The paper first starts with the general introduction to the topic under research, then, introducing a specific case in which the role of questioning emerged as a critical factor which would have helped improve the results. Additional real life examples are also added to the paper to illustrate how such practices had affected or could have affected the individuals in these cases to achieve better results in different circumstances. Based on the hypothesis raised, the author used the field experiments to test whether or not the practices affect the results in the workplace. The experiments were carefully designed with thorough control of variables so that conclusions made out of the findings and analyses are credible. Although the logic behind the effect is more or less the same in a variety of environments, the study is designed to test the effect of questioning in working environment only. The limitations of the study are also mentioned so that the readers can be aware of them when reflecting back to the real world. From the analysis of the findings from both the experiments and the examples, conclusions and the respective recommendations are made both at the end of each section and at the end of the paper so that it is easy for the readers to remember, reflect and subsequently apply in their workplace. Further researches may also be recommended to study aspects that have not been covered or fully covered under this paper so that future researches can add further benefits to the individuals and organizations who are interested in the topic.
