AbstractIn order to enhancing motivation of staff and find the appropriate motivation concept at the public organization, measurement motivation level to the job of staff is implemented based on the theory of the motivation in this research. Moreover, the research finds out what motivate staff and what they like and dislike at the work place. As a result, we found that low income (salary) is not the main motivator to motivate staff to insert their motivation to perform the job even though the salary of Trade Promotion Department of Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia is low. High salary does not mean that the public organization may have a dynamic staff to perform the job with effectively. It does not guaranty that the staff may produce high achievement for the department. In addition this, the result of the research survey found that the motivator things of staff at the trade promotion department (TPD) of the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia are the training skills program and mission to overseas. Some reasons that make the staff being absent or lost motivation are unclear responsibility, working condition/Life security and unfair reward system. The research recommendation of enhancing the motivation of the staff at the Trade Promotion Department is based on the finding survey. The recommendation sets up for the other research for improving the quality of research and to be more accuracy of the research.
