Abstract | The global economic environment remains challenging and is increasingly competitive in the past few years. Posted to global financial market crisis, economic downturns are continuing in many countries, including Vietnam. Many business sectors have been significant impacted on the business performance and this is resulting in significant cuts in the spending, including spending for people training and development; and rising unemployment. This extends to the professional accountancy market, with a number of ACCA’s competitors start seeking to internationalize their products and services to the emerging markets. Vietnam is determined as a potential market for accountancy profession with the big and young population of almost ninety million people and the promising foreign direct invest. ACCA is therefore operating in an increasingly competitive market but one where the demands are very much aligned to our core proposition – that of a single, global professional qualification which provides the transferable skills needed for today’s international economy. As the professional accountancy body that serves 162,000 qualified accountants and over 424,000 students who are pursuing the qualification, one of ACCA’s strategic priorities is to deliver sustainable growth in member number. In order to do this, we need to ensure that we invest in services which our members value and that our brand is tangible benefit to them. As employers’ recognition is crucial to the future success of ACCA and its members, we also need to ensure that the products and services we develop and deliver meet the needs of employers across all sectors of the accountancy profession and that they continue to value the ACCA qualification. This research offer the organization a better understanding the members’ satisfaction and expectations and well as employers’ needs, how we most effectively engage with them to achieve the sustainable growth in term of stakeholders’ satisfaction, number of members of ACCA in Vietnam market. |
