Abstract | Currently, Nexia Acpa and Grant Thornton are preparing merging activities before the Day One, 1 July 2014 as the official merger date. Many things should be done before the merger. As one of members in the management board of Nexia Acpa Co.,Ltd being merged with Grant Thornton Vietnam, I acknowledged the importance of post-merger integration, especially People post-merger integration. This research analyses the importance of key talent people retention and the culture in merger by the best practice merger case of Daimler &Chrysler. The research then focused on understanding procedures and policies applied in Nexia Acpa and Grant Thornton in keeping talent people and key succeed factors in keeping talent people. For culture integration, culture webs to be built to analyse culture similarities and differences between two companies. Overall information about the two companies business is also subordinated to people integration analysis. Finding and recommendations for improvement of people post-merger integration to the management of both two companies are made. |
