Abstract | Day by day industrial environment is becoming more and more competitive. Customer is asking and changing their requirement frequently challenge is how to meet customer requirement with available resources. Quality, Delivery time, Cost, changing requirement, competitive environment, and global environment issues these all issues to be addressed in a systematic way under one umbrella by lean way. Many tool available like Total Quality Management, Theory of constraint, Total Productive Maintenance, Lean Management being used in manufacturing industry successfully. Lean can be used in Service Industry like Technip. In service industry no one wants to take lead to implement such concept. Normally management wants proven concept. Lean concept can be implemented in all the process of service industry and even every walk of our life. Every organization has their process of functioning and system. Process improvement is being carried out in every organization at every level on a continuous basis. Efforts have been taken in these papers to focus on long term strategic development and day to day improvement targets to make the company customer focused, flexible and ready for tomorrows challenge. Meaning of “Lean” is without fat, without waste. Lean Management adopts zero waste. “Lean Management” started with automobile industry after its success the concept is being accepted widely and is always better to have system which generates no waste and delivers productive output. Lean can help TET to achieve long term sustainability by bringing competitive state in the company. The papers conclude with suggestion for future work. |
