Abstract | Ha tien 1 is one of the biggest cement manufacturer in The South of Viet Nam, Ha tien 1s’ trademark is famous trademark in local construction material market. However, Ha tien 1 have not had factory to produce clinker, whereas, clinker is main material to manufacture cement product, Ha tien 1 have to import clinker one million ton of clinker annually. Otherwise, Ha tien 1 has found the opportunities to expand the business in field of cement industry. To recognize the problems, the analysis applied PMBOK® Guide, SWOT analysis method and the model problem solving process to analyze the current situation of the company and to develop the solutions. The study focus on two critical causes: unable to control project cost within budget, and project time management. To improve the performance of the projects, the study proposed some solutions (1) Apply PMBOK® Guide to analyze cost overrun and schedule delay. (2) Improving ability to manage cost overrun and schedule delayed. (3) Indicating, analyzing, remaining problems, and finding down solutions.
