AbstractDong Phu rubber factory located in Dak Nong province of Vietnam has been under construction since 2010, for which the water supply is very important. Surface water is scarce, especially in the dry season. Therefore, a study for groundwater development is needed to satisfy the demand of water supply for this industrial site, now and in the near future. This research aims to investigate the groundwater system in the Dong Phu rubber factory to propose a plan for groundwater development. The field investigate found out one aquifer underlying the Dong Phu rubber factory. In this research study, well test data from two wells, DP1 and DP2, were analyzed using Jacob – Cooper’s and Theis’s method. Which gave the everage values of Transmissivity (T), Hydraulic conductivity (K), Storage coefficient (S) and Specific storage (Ss) as Transmissivity T = 6.15 m2/day, Hydraulic conductivity K= 30.75 x 10-2 m/day, Storage coefficient: S = 4.36, Specific storage Ss = 0.218 m-1. In addition, the data of four – step drawdown test at well DP1 and DP2 were also analyzed, whose result gave the performance of DP1 and DP2 (average values) as Transmissivity T = 0.55 m2/day, Hydraulic conductivity K = 2.13 x 10-2 m/day, Storage coefficient S = 160 and Specific storage Ss = 6.038 m-1. Based on the well test analysis results, a hydrogeological model of the aquifer system was constructed and the confined aquifer model was employed further in groundwater modeling using Visual Modflow. The groundwater modelling mesh is of 1 km2 of study area for building up the hydrogeological model and run a groundwater analysis for groundwater development of the industrial site.
