Abstract | FECON Corporation is operating in the field of construction of works and specializing in foundations and underground works. With the philosophy of FECON is deeply aware of the important role of human resource training and development during its growth. Thus, FECON has sponsored four batches of Professional Master of Engineering in Geotechnical Engineering and Management organized by Asian Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2018 at the AIT center in Vietnam. The objective and scope of this research include (1) Review on PME-GEM curricumlums offered to the FECON staff from 2012 to 2018; (2) Analyze and evaluate training effectiveness on FECON staff development; (3) Suggest solutions to improve the training efficiency for further training courses and to motivate the graduate students after the program. The method used in the research include survey, data collection, qualitative and quantitative analyses. From there, practical and effective solutions will be provided. Research results show that the program achieved the goal set out at the beginning. The program is highly successful in helping students improve their in-depth knowledge and skills. However, the training work still has some limitations to overcome such as training time, English skills of some students and company’s policy for encouraging and motivating the staff after their graduation. The results of this study are the basis for proposing some recommendations for enhancing training effectiveness to related parties. |
