Abstract | This study presents an efficient technique to combine the power line communication (PLC) and visible light communication (VLC) system of channel model by using phase shift keying (PSK) signals to color shift keying (CSK) constellation. Nowadays, PLC and VLC are developing. The CSK constellation is proposed by IEEE 802.15.7. The PSK is used to transfer the information over PLC system and CSK technique is used on the VLC system. The color wheel method is developed to map PSK symbols to colors. In this research study, we applied the mathematical model of PLC and VLC systems and considered the multipath propagation of PLC and VLC system. In addition, we highlight the effect of the model’s parameter of PLC and VLC environment and simulate these parameters by using MATLAB programming. Furthermore, attenuation of cables increasing with length and frequency selective is also considered in this research. To find the bit error rate (BER), we analyzed the transfer function of PLC and VLC and used the PSK-CSK, QAM-CSK modulation for the simulations. |
