AbstractThe problem of using the fossil energy for the power production plants is one of the causes of the global climate changes which have been generating the large volumes of ash, waste water, fumes as well as polluted land. The recycling and reuse of fly ash from the thermal power plants in Vietnam has achieved some positive results so far. In order to develop sustainable energy industry, the government encouraged the innovative measures as well as the application in advance of science and technology in the field of recycling and reuse of fly ash generated from these plants. Cam Pha Thermal Power Plant is the largest unit of Vinacomin Power Holding Corporation. The plant was put into operation in 2010 with 2 units and 4 boilers which have total capacity of 600 MW discharging millions tons of ash to environment each year. From this fact, Cam Pha Thermal Power Plant is focusing study on latest solutions to deal with the problem of ash management in order to meet the strategy for sustainable development and friendly environment. The purpose of this research is to provide appropriate solutions for the ash reuse of Cam Pha thermal power plant based on the new technology, data from managers or technical experts.
