Abstract | September 2010 as a deputy commercial manager. He took the position of commercial manager - Head of Commercial Department four months later in January 2011. In this position, the author is mostly involved with the Technical Department. Most of the work in Technical Department is related to the author's department. The author is fortunate to have gained extra insight since he is young and amicable. Consequently, whenever the staff of Technical Department are unhappy or dealing with any type of stress, they usually share with him. During the last two years, some of the key staffs of Technical Department have often expressed their dissatisfaction. In addition, the Technical Department has received more complaints from top management in connection with performance and in terms of the quality and progress of their work. In 2015, three of a total of five critical projects missed scheduled targets. Gaining his information through consulting dissatisfied staff, the author realized that the working environment or team climate could create problems which would impact the motivation of staff. Therefore, this study aims to define the current state of the working climate in terms of how it could affect motivation and therefore have an impact on the performance of the Technical Department. |
