AbstractHeadlines such as " The Internet Will Change the Way You Do Business - You Can't Ignore It!" are now common. There are many companies in Thailand jump into this new channel of doing business. Many of them rush to access the Internet for the commercial reason by ignoring the important of security issue. This can cause them to costly and ineffectively in implementing the transaction online. The security issue over the open network is important, especially for financial institution that responsible for sensitive information. The survey and interviews showed that the secure online transactions in Thailand are Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Secure Electronic Transaction (SET). Most of Thai banks use SSL to secure their online transactions. This security system is more important because many banks today are initiating the online banking services over the Internet. In order to make confidential to the bank customers that their information such as customer's name, address, account number can not be accessed by unauthorized person, Thai banks try to develop the new and effective security systems for secure this online banking services .
