Abstract | Quality certification has been involved in the economic and trade field by providing enterprises with quality certification service, improving their internal management, and strengthening their market competitiveness. China's quality certification system has introduced the experiences achieved in worldwide management field during the century by means of management standards. These standards play an effective role in establishing modern enterprises system, enhancing internal management and accelerating refo1ms in state-owned enterprises. Generally speaking, internationally recognized quality certification can surely improve the productivity, management and quality of products in China and help them enter into the world market. Therefore, quality certification is considered as an effective method to help China's enterprises break technical batTiers and expand to the international market. This study mainly shows the development of China's quality registration system and auditor certification and auditor training course approval system. It has been found that China's quality certification has got great development and achievement during the recent years, with more than 29,900 certificates issued, including 5,828 quality system certificates, and over 4,680 auditors registered. Besides those achievements it has been found that there are some problems facing China's quality certification such as lack of coordination among relevant departments and lack of effectiveness of certain ce1iificates. China shall make further effo1is to improve the communication among relevant depa1iments, the technical level of auditors and the effectiveness of issued certificates. |
