Abstract | After the emergence of E-Commerce, Reverse auction can be classified as another trading model, which will be benefit for both buyers and sellers. Normally, Online Reverse Auction is for buyers who want to get the best price on items by allowing sellers to compete. This research will try to investigate the market to launch a new kind of service for SMEs which is applying E-Commerce in term of Reverse Auction with the aggregation of purchasing from several SMEs in Bangkok to reduce their procurement cost. However, this website will serve as an opportunity for the virtual community to combine the purchasing power from various SMEs. Therefore, the opinion of SMEs to use the Reverse Auction website for office supplies (only Stationery and Computer Hardware) has been observed. Moreover, the results will be analyzed to identify the appropriated characteristic for this kind of website. The findings of this research can be concluded that the potential customers of this kind of website would be the Large scaled enterprise rather than Small and Medium scaled enterprises (SMEs). Moreover, it can suggest that the website should not only provide virtual community for them but also other kinds of services i.e. vendor profiles, delivery services, etc. |
