Abstract | The purpose of this paper is to explain the book recommendation system to the users of the academic libraries. This will help for the library users to suggest some books with their details and information. Here we use the Koha schema which is integrated library system which were mainly used in the libraries. The Koha schema is a free and open source library management system. The data mining approach we used was Apriori algorithm where they check the similarity between two users. In this paper, we propose a good method to have a quality recommendation. First, we calculate the past borrowing information of the current user. Second, on basis of the past borrowing books we perform to check the similar users. Third, we apply apriori algorithm to recommend books to the user based on the support of the book which has greater than one. Finally, we will check the accuracy of the system to know the recommended books are perfect tot the user. This experiment results will show that the methodology used for recommendation will get accurate books to the users. |
