AbstractModern innovations in imaging technologies and image processing has lead to various interesting applications in diverse fields such as medicine, science and engineering, agriculture, the live telecasts on a television. These are just a few applications of image processing. This research study is mainly focuses on processing images that are obtained by drones that are deployed over an agricultural farm parcel to identify whether the plants in the farm parcel are getting sufficient water or not. I will capture a video using a RGB camera and filtered camera. The obtained images will be combined to form a mosaic image that represents an entire farm parcel. This image will be used to calculate an NDVI, vegetation index, to identify the health of the vegetation. I will use python and libraries for image processing such as opencv, numpy, and scipy. I will use NDVI image to identify the trouble spot which indicates the crop heath.
