Abstract | Security and customer service are major issues all over the world. To take security a step ahead, CCTV cameras are being brought in, and now video analytic models are being applied to these CCTV feeds. Displaying data through mobile applications is increasing the norm today. In this research study, I describe the design, development, and testing of an Android application that renders processed data from a video analytic system to make security and customer service better. The application has four user roles, and each role has access to different features. The features of the system are latest customers, customer directory, mark as blacklisted customer, generate a summary of customer emotions daily/weekly/monthly, and viewing a shop heatmap. The application generates a notification if a blacklisted customer enters the store. An experiment with real-world retail shop footage validates the connections and proves the concept of real time display of video analytic data for security and customer service. |
