| Abstract | Although the Vietnamese management system have dealt with Management Control system in some aspects, the activities being done now cannot be considered as systematic and logical. In this paper, the "Printing Materials & Equipment Exp01i-Import Company (PRINTEXIM), a Vietnamese company, has been used as an illustration for the above-mentioned problem through studying its specific and practical Management control activities. Then, a design of management control for PRINTEXIM has been proposed, in line with the real situation of the Company. Unstructured interview with different levels of management in the company has been conducted in order to understand the behavior of the managers towards management control concepts, and the real situation of the company is lmown through the supportive documents. The lack of managerial accounting system and activities-based costing system, which are the base for designing a management control system for the company has been the problem that need to be solved in the process of designing and developing the management control system in the company. Designing and developing management control system have been done step by step, from the simple system to the complex system. At the beginning of this process, only some of the basic principles of management control, which were suitable for the real situation of the company, such as setting up the clear goal and objectives, responsibility centers, performance measurement system, budgeting, report and reward system for the company were applied |
