After the era of mass production, companies started competing against each other by customizing their products to the customers' requirements. Hence after mass production, they started mass customization. To achieve economy of scale in mass customization, Platform Concept is being used. Presently, due to increased globalization, CITIBANK is in a process of integrating all their information systems across countries.
