AbstractAssessments are essential in order to enhance the perfo1mance of organizations. This research focuses on how the privatization policy has benefited privatized State-Owned Enterprises directly and indirectly with respect to their organizational effectiveness during the post economic crisis. In addition, this paper studies on the three privatized State-Owned Enterprises of Thailand, namely the Petroleum Authority of Thailand (PTT), the Petroleum Authority of Thailand Exploration and Production Public Co., Ltd (PTTEP) and the Electricity Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO). The Thai energy sector is recovering from the effects of the Asian financial crisis, which slowed the rapid rise in energy demand Thailand had experienced through the mid- 1990s. In the meantime, the local economy has begun to recover in 1999 by the annual growth rate of GDP at 4.1 %, a marked improvement from -10.4 % of the preceding year. The findings of research study are made on two privatized states owned enterprises to perform their organization efficiently and effectively in competitive environment privatized enterprises. It is found that there are various factors, which affect to the organizational effectiveness. However the human resource remain the core factors in performing organizational effectiveness
