AbstractThis paper identified the key relationships of the Organizational Effectiveness and Multinational management of Multinational enterprises. Managers from 1,065 multinational companies based in Thailand and representing 31 different nationalities participated in this study. Multinational Management components (International Managerial Characteristics, Organizational Culture, Multicultural Management Style and Executive Motivation) were compared between higher and lower Organizational Effectiveness (ROA, Most Admired, Job Satisfaction and Personal Satisfaction) companies in different levels (local, regional and international). The different aspects between higher and lower groups are considered key success factors for Multinational Management. These factors were confirmed by discriminant analysis and used independent variables in strnctural equation modeling. International Managerial Characteristics and Organizational Culture are found to determine an appropriate Multicultural Management Style. Executive Motivation is strongly influenced by this Multicultural Management Style. Different dimensions of Organizational Effectiveness, including ROA, Most Admired, Job Satisfaction and Personal Satisfaction are related to specific aspects of Managerial Characteristics, Organizational Culture and Multicultural Management Style.
