AbstractDistribution system is an integrated part of the utility since the customer through this link utilizes the energy generated. Thus, there is a need to constantly improve the system and be prepared for expanding in the future so it adapt the increasing in demand and quality in power supply of customers. In this research, the existing distribution system is analyzed by using the PSS/ ADEPT software, the typical load curve are used in the power flow and loss evaluation, the optimal capacitor placement in the distribution system are also study in this research. Further more, the consideration in planning of underground distribution for Hoian, ancient town are mentioned in this study.
