| Abstract | Industrial Zone is an economic model that is attracted immese of attention, concerntration and application from developing countries thanks to its great contributions to economic development. In Vietnam, industrial zone has become a part of national development strategy to achieve the country's goals for industrialization and modernization. The first industrial zone, Tan-Thuan, was introduced in 1991. 68 industrial zones has been established throughout the country. After a decade of development, industrial zones have all together brought about positive implications on investments, industrial production for exportation and local consuming needs and growth rate of GDP. The establishment of industrial zones has also created more favorable conditions for ecology and environment conservation of the country. Tra-Noc Industrial Zone in Can-Tho province, is the first one in the MeKong Delta region. Taking advantages of a first mover as well as other favorable conditions, Tra-Noc Industrial Zone quicly became one of the most successful among other industrial zones in Vietnam. However, it has experienced a downturn in investments in the last two years for many reasons t~at will analysised in the study. On the basic of the reaserach findings, attemps will be made to indentify apprpriate measures so as to improve investment environment in Tra-Noc Industrial Zone as well as to quickly strengthen the zone's attractiveness to investors. |
