| Abstract | Although a number of countries have adopted online system in industrial property registration, it is still novel in Vietnam. The ultimate purpose of this research is to introduce a new idea in trademark regish·ation and discuss the feasibility of such project in Vietnam. First the investigating the current system is given, which is aiming at finding out its problems and opportunities. This system is constrained by organization issue, poor technology condition, and by human resource. Besides some opportunities are found out, such as service development, and potential to exploit the existing resource. Then online trademark registration, which is modified by the contextual conditions of Vietnam, is introduced. The research argues that online is effective way to improve the current system, but it remains some limitations. Studying the current constrains and opportunities for the new system provides the researcher with a conclusion it is not time to implement a comprehensive online h·ademark registration but just an online trademark application - the first pa1t of the whole trademark regish·ation system. Realizing online h·ademark application is proven to be practical and feasible and beneficial. Moreover it is the most imp01tant thing that this online process play a decisive sta1ting point to think toward the future of online system |
