Abstract | Bangkok Metropolis is a mega city which has many problems due to spreading of urban community. Solid waste management is a challenge problem caused by increasing population, mass production, mass consumption and the throw away life style. Increasing amount of waste from population growth, insufficient waste collection system, lacking of waste disposal management and facilities, inadequate collection fees and its system, financial capability, structure and administrative, human resource capacity building is the main problems of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) in solid waste management in Bangkok Metropolis. In this study we focus on existing financial systems and constraints, finding the options to gain financial sustainability. |
