Abstract | In this study, Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is applied to design the control part of the Medical Tele-analysis system. FPGA is a programmable chip consists of many function generator modules, latch, registers, buffer those do not have connections between them. An abstract level language, called VHDL, is employed to specify a particular circuit in the chip. The flexible ability of specifying deeply the gate level connection, and the high integration make FPGA takes many advantages in design a quite large system over micro controller In Medical Tele-analysis system, hybrid controller is used to control force and displacement. Digital PID is applied to design the control of system. The system consists of two sides of operation. One is master side or doctor side, and other is slave side, or patient side. One side is a displacement controller and other is a force controller. Two controllers in operation system are crossed by Medical Tele-analysis system. Displacement position is being controlled following to input command, and at that time of other side the force sensor unit will generate the force command. So the input to system is the position, the output is a force, by hybrid scheme for Medical Tele-analysis system. The force output is varied to the position input by quantitative parameters of position and force system. |
