AbstractFe1tilizer market in Thailand is continuously increasing and provides enormous oppo1tunities for companies in the field. The market itself can be divided into three pa1ts including paddy fe1tilizers, medium priced fe1tilizers and premium priced fe1tilizers. This research work concenh·ates on the last sector and the main players in the market are a Finnish based Kemira Thai, Norwegian based Hydro Thai Ltd. and the German based BASF (Thai). Research work analyses the influence of brand, price and the availability in the purchasing situation. The main consideration is Kemira Thai and the research is h·ying to find out how sh·ong is the company's position in the market, is it following a good pricing sh·ategy and how much influence do the other brands have in the market. The results of the study show that consumers see price to be the dominating factor. Price is followed by availability and on the last position comes brand. When price and availability are equal brand seems to have the final input on decision-making.
