Abstract | Info1mation Technology (IT) is the products industry, and it is now likely transforming into a service. The new era of outsourcing has been arrived. Application service provider (ASP) offers organizations business solutions. The ASP delivers the service, handling all aspects of the IT function, which will allow organization to reduce capital costs and implement applications in a timely function. And the result is dramatic. Geographic Information Technology (GIS) is a powerful technology for decision support, planning and management for many organizations throughout the world. However the spread of GIS technology is limited not only lack of awareness in society but also the cost and the expertise. And Thailand is no exception. The convergence of GIS technology with ASP arose primarily because it is a cost effective technology. This research is extended the result in which ASPs can solve the cash problem of using GIS in Thailand and their future directions on providing a service. |
