Abstract | Job satisfaction is a major interest to the field of organizational behavior and the practice of human resource management. Job satisfaction is one among many important attitudes that influence human behavior in the any organization. The study examines the findings of an empirical investigation on factors affecting job satisfaction of the Sri Lanka university faculty members. The objectives of the research included identifying the factors affecting on job satisfaction, to determine the relationship between affecting factors of job satisfaction and identify and describe major theories of job satisfaction. Based on the literature reviews and the objective of the present study, a conceptual framework model was constructed with several hypotheses. The primary data gathered through questionnaire and interviews. The Secondary data collected from the several documents. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics used for the statistical analysis. The research study has established identify the relationship between job satisfaction and determining, influencing factors of job satisfaction. Accordingly, to it has been empirically established some affecting factors are significantly related to the job satisfaction of university faculty members. However, some variables do not influence significantly job satisfaction of Sri Lanka university faculty members. Furthermore, this study provides implications of significance to initiate fmiher research to identify the how to effects affecting factors for the job satisfaction and job perfo1mance. |
